Airlaid technology

Anpap Airlaid Process is an efficient & reliable way to produce high quality Airlaid paper without compromises. Efficient production and quick grade change gives you the flexibility to respond to the customer needs instantly. Quick start up means higher production efficiency, less waste, lower production down times and higher ROI.

Anpap’s machinery is designed & built in Finland, to ensure maximum quality & customer satisfaction.

1.

Anpap pulp defibrator

This is where the Airlaid process begins. Energy efficient & nit free defiberisation is essential when creating high quality Airlaid products.

Anpap’s direct drive pulp defibrators are industrial heavy duty machines, designed to defiberize pulp for nit free Airlaid products.

Anpap has been developing pulp defibrators since the 1980’s.

2.

Anpap's Patented Forming Process

After the pulp is defiberized, it is then led to the forming section. The forming section is the place where the most critical phase happens, the pulp is formed to a web. This is where the Anpap’s “supercharged” Forming Head steps in.

The Anpap Forming Head is an easy-to-use, high quality machine designed for air laying. 100% pulp, 100% synthetic fibers or any mix of natural & synthetic fibers (up to 12 mm length) can be used.

One of the special features of Anpap’s Forming is Anpap’s patented closed circulation through secondary air uniformer, which gives the Forming Head unmatched performance & efficiency compared to others Airlaid processes available on the market.

Anpap cross profile adjusting system ensures the formation of a homogeneous web with excellent cross profile. The industrial stainless steel construction and devotion to details make it last a life time. Anpap forming can also be combined with any other nonwoven process.

The first Airlaid machine with Anpap’s unique forming process was started in 1986

3.

Anpap SAP Dispenser

Anpap Powder Dispenser can dispense different type of raw materials in a powder form onto a nonwoven web, such as SAP(Super Absorbent Polymer) powder.

4.

Anpap Web Transfer

Anpap’s transfer section is designed for high speed web transfer and durability. The transfer section can be equipped with one or more web embossing systems. For example with a double web embossing system, it is easy to switch paper quality/pattern on the fly, without production down time.

5.

Anpap Binder bonding

The binder spray stations at the drying wire enables the customer to use liquid binders, such as latex for binding purposes. The binder dosing system and special spray bars with changeable jets allows the customer to control accurately the amount of adhesive used.

6.

Anpap Through Air Dryer & Thermo Bonder

Drying & curing for binder bonded products and thermobonding for thermo- or multi bonded products are one of the most important things after the Forming process. Without a good drying systems, it is impossible to achieve good product properties.

Anpap’s through air drying system is the state-of-the-art solution for the customer, who demands the best. The superior cross temperature profile and temperature control ensures that the web is evenly dried/bonded and the product properties doesn’t differ. Anpap Through Air Dryer can be used as web dryer or as a thermobonder.

Since there were no high quality through air dryers available for Airlaid process on the market, Anpap decided to start developing it’s own TAD’s 20 years ago, without knowing that it would set the standard of flat bed Through Air Drying to also other industries.

Anpap has delivered +50 individual dryers to Airlaid-, Wetlaid- and Foamlaid industries globally.

7.

Anpap Cooling & Finishing

Thermo- and multi bonded products needs to be cooled down after the bonding/curing process to prevent problems during winding. During the transfer from drying to winding, the web can be also embossed using the calander located at the cooling section. The cooling effect to the web can be done with either calandering, water mist or air.

8.

Slitting & Winding

Reliable slitting & winding devices are essential in keeping the process running smoothly even with high production speeds. Anpap’s experienced co-operation partners ensures that our customers are provided with the state-of-the-art slitting & winding solutions.

9.

Packing

The final product, Airlaid paper is a valuable asset for both the producer and the customer. The paper must be firmly protected from dirt, moisture and other harmful substances and objects that might harm the product. High level co-operation partners provides Anpap with the latest design packing/wrapping devices, which make sure that the product is safe.

10.

Process air systems

Our unique +40 year experience in process air systems gives us the edge in designing state of the art Airlaid systems. The equipment we use in our process air systems, such as our tailor made process air fans, comes from high quality manufacturers. We provide our customers only with the best tailored solutions available.

11.

Dust filtration

A deep understanding in pulp fibers and their characteristics is needed when creating dust filtration for pulp fibers. Small design errors can occur as huge problems in the process and high down time.

Anpap’s +40 years of experience in dust control has taught us deep understanding, how to make dust filtration work properly in process industry applications. In our opinion, the dust filtration works, if only a few people know it even exists.

12.

Wire cleaning

Advanced wire cleaning systems capable of using 500+ bar pressure are designed to keep the wires/fabrics clean. By keeping the wire clean, higher production rate and higher wire lifetime can be achieved. Higher wire life time means less down time for the production and better ROI.
